On Line Leak Sealing
Under pressure leak sealing technology geared to maximise asset uptime.
The priority for every industrial plant is to stay on-line. At KLINGER, we help maximise up-time by sealing leaks under pressure. This means you keep producing the goods while we deliver solutions to leak based problems.
Whether it’s steam, hydro-carbons or gas including over 300 types of chemical – at temperatures ranging from sub-zero to 600ºC and at pressures up to 350 bar – KLINGER offers professional leak-sealing solutions.
From low cost banding or peened wire for narrow gap flanges and bonnets to solutions based on ring clamps or box enclosures, we’ll advise you on the alternatives. If there isn’t a solution, we’ll create one.
On Site Machining
Cost effective precision machining solutions on-site.
Dismantling of process equipment is sometimes impossible and often uneconomical. Enter on site/in situ machining. Repair takes place on a piece of equipment without the need to strip it out and move it to a repair facility. This can lead to great time and cost savings. The repair workshop is taken to the client rather than the other way around.
KLINGER’s field machining services enable cost-effective modification and repair of a variety of parts and equipment on site and in-place 24-hours a day. Ideal for new construction projects, modifications, planned shutdowns and emergency repairs, our comprehensive equipment has the capacity to mill, bore, trepan, drill or carry out any other machining activity normally associated with a machining workshop.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to field machining. Our highly-trained team is dedicated to formulating a repair procedure that minimizes downtime and ensures quality repair.
Trevi Testing – On Line Valve Testing
Cost effective safety and relief valve testing eliminates the need for shutdown.
A critical component in maintaining plant productivity, safety and profitability is to ensure that every valve is operating at peak efficiency while meeting relevant safety requirements. With the Trevitest™ system, KLINGER has the ability to test relief valves and identify those in need of adjustment or full service with no operational interruptions.
This technology gives you the means to accurately test every valve, performed in place, on line and under normal operating conditions. The result is a certifiable test allowing correctly performing valves to remain in service for longer periods, as well as fully documenting valves that do not meet the correct performance criteria by our experienced personnel so that they can be repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
CTI – Heat Exchanger Refurbishment
Eliminate tube leaks.
CTI Shield/Seal™
The CTI Shield/Seal™ is a thin walled metallic tube insert made of highly durable alloys. For tubes suffering from inlet-end erosion, Stress Corrosion Cracking, crevice corrosion or any problems related to the tube-ends, KLINGER offers its most cost-effective tube repair, the CTI Shield/Seal™, ranging in length from 100mm to 4200mm long.
Full Length Tube Liners™
Heat exchanger tubes also suffer from a variety of full-length issues, such as pitting or cracking, or full length wall loss. In this situation our Full Length Tube Liners™ can be a very attractive alternative to a partial or full re-tube. CTI’s thin-walled Full Length Tube Liners are an effective way to ensure long-term reliability and can be installed into existing tubes or even into NEW tubes for F.E.L. applications.
Hot Tapping
Equipment Supply Only – IPSCO / Furmanite / TEAM Industrial Inc.
Eliminating on-stream transmission and distribution line shutdowns or loss of product.
Hot tapping provides a safe, reliable, and effective means to create a branch connection on ”live” piping and pressure vessels while they continue to remain in service. This eliminates lost revenue by avoiding often costly and inconvenient outages. Hot taps are typically used as a tie-in point for new piping but are also often performed as a means to deploy instrumentation without shutdown. They are frequently performed as an essential step in preparation for line stopping.
Line Stopping
Equipment Supply Only – IPSCO / Furmanite / TEAM Industrial Inc.
Safely isolate a section of pipe for repairs, alterations or relocations without loss of service.
Line Stopping is a means of temporarily stopping flow in an operating pipe. Line Stopping can be used to isolate piping systems for repairs, alteration or relocations all without shutdown or loss of service to the end users. If used in conjunction with bypass lines, product flow can be continued around the isolated section of the one-way feed pipes under repair.
KLINGER has been the world’s leading manufacturer and provider of industrial sealing, fluid control and fluid monitoring systems for more than 130 years.
