Packings braided from PTFE fibres offer outstanding performance in highly corrosive environments as well as under less severe operating conditions. They have a low coefficient of friction and high compressive strength. These packings are available in virgin grades, lubricated and graphite filled versions as well as in expanded form.
Using the cross braiding system, K49 is manufactured from a PTFE yarn with non-migratory graphite impregnation. The combination of the PTFE and graphite provides both effective lubrication and thermal conductivity.
A general purpose packing that can be used on all service applications throughout the plant.

Using the KLINGER®-Lock cross braiding system, K4313 is manufactured from a combination of yellow aramid yarn and PTFE graphite yarn. The aramid corners provide exceptional wear resistance while the PTFE/graphite acts as a sealer lubricator.
A good all round slurry packing for more acidic applications.

Using the KLINGER®-Lock cross braiding system, K54 is manufactured from virgin PTFE yarn and PTFE lubricant. Additional lubrication is optional depending on the process requirements.
An excellent choice for plant wide use especially when a clean, non-contaminating packing is required with a very high degree of chemical resistance. Can be used in virtually all media including strong acids and alkalis. K54 is supplied as 3 options:
